Few people have a clue about a BICC

In a recent poll on this website it shows up that more then 50% of the visitors that took part in the poll do not know what a business intelligence competence centre (BICC) is. The most important task of such a centre would be to define a business intelligence strategy. Without a proper bi strategy, buying a BI tool, will be the same as buying a very nice and expensive car, which runs on a type of fuel which is not available in the country where you want to drive it!

The good news here is that the organizations that have a BICC, are saying: "Yes, we have a business oriented BICC", almost 30% of the visitors. Just a few organizations have a technical oriented BICC, and some are planning to have a BICC, business or technical oriented.
