Reporting tool - what tools are available?
Almost every company, large or small needs one: a reporting tool. To measure performance, for financial consolidation, for evaluation of strategies and policies and sometimes just for plain reporting. Reporting tools are not the same as Business Intelligence, in general reporting tools tell us where we have been, they are necessary to provide information to regularatory authorities but they are not very good at telling us where we are going. Almost all Business Intelligence solutions contain a reporting tool but almost no reporting tools contain any intelligence, our suggestion is that if you think you need a reporting tool look furthur and consider Business Intelligence
