Almost every company, large or small needs or have one: a reporting tool. But, what is the difference between reporting tools and BI tools? Reporting tools are not the same as Business Intelligence, in general reporting tools tell us where we have been, they are necessary to provide information to regularatory authorities but they are not very good at telling us where we are going.
